Meet OJ, the Super Heroes Humane Society “Pet of the Week.”  OJ came to us as a stray in a somewhat urban area. He was quite emaciated and riddled with worms. He has been treated and is starting to put some weight on. Currently weighing in at 82 lbs he's got a little ways to go.

This is a big boy! OJ is house trained and does surprisingly well on a leash. He's an absolute pleasure to walk with. He knows basic commands and responds really well to positive reinforcement. Due to his background and lack of nutrition OJ is slightly protective of his food. He will need a home that understands this issue and can manage feeding him in a safe location. (He will need to eat in a crate and be left alone while doing so).

OJ gets very anxious around other animals and will need to be an only fur baby.  He is such a lovable man, you wouldn't have room in your heart for another anyway! Like most big dogs, OJ is oblivious to his size. He just wants to curl up in your lap and get all the lovins. He also gives excellent kisses! 5 stars!! OJ seems to love everyone he's met, but due to his general size and not knowing how big he is, he wouldn't do well with small children.

So make OJ part of your family and the first step in making that happen is to please fill out an adoption application.
