Congratulations to B.A. in Music student, Burke Herrick ‘20, on his summer as a cast member in the Glimmerglass Festival production of Jerome Kern’s Showboat. Burke is the first Oneonta student to perform in a mainstage production during his studies. And congratulations to Professors Janet Nepkie, Principal ‘Cellist, and Ben Aldridge, Second Trumpet, in their prominent roles as tenured members of the nationally-ranked Glimmerglass Festival Orchestra.

This season’s mainstage productions include Verdi’s ever-popular La Traviata, Kern’s Showboat, American composer John Corigliano’s rarely-heard, The Ghost of Versailles, and a commissioned work, Blue, receiving its world premiere. The season concludes Saturday, August 24.
