Barbara Jean Morris, SUNY Oneonta president, reached the top of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, after six days of climbing. She documented the climb with the Twitter hashtag #DrMorrisTakesKilimanjaro.

Mount Kilimanjaro is located in the country of Tanzania.  It is 4,900 high and is the tallest mountain on the continent of Africa.  The first person to scale the mountain was Hans Meyer in 1889.  The mountain is part of the Kilimanjaro National Park.
