Sodexo Lays Off Most Of Its SUNY Oneonta Workers
SUNY Oneonta’s food service vendor, Sodexo, laid off most of its campus staff due to the coronavirus outbreak. AllOTSEGO reports Sodexo furloughed 72 of its 80 employees on Wednesday. The others were offered continuing positions while the campus closes for the rest of this semester.
Some of the employees had been in place for decades, first with Oneonta Auxiliary Services before the food service was contracted out to Sodexo 12 years ago and a few of those employees will receive a state pension.
