On March 9th, 2021 in a joint operation with NYS Parole and the Delaware County Sheriff's Office the Sidney Police Department arrested James A. Reigles, 40, Sidney NY on the following charges:

5 counts of Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, Class A misdemeanor.

1 count of Criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell in the 5th degree, Class D felony.

The arrest stems from an investigation started by NYS Parole into alleged parole violations by James A. Reigles.  A search of James A. Reigles' residence produced several quantities of methamphetamine as well suboxone, packaging material and assorted drug paraphernalia. The investigation is ongoing and more charges are expected to be filed after tests are completed by a NYS crime lab.

James A. Reigles was arraigned in Village of Sidney Court on the above stated charges where he was released on his own recognizance. He was then turned over to NYS Parole.
