Complete Streets tries to promote healthier living by efficiently enabling different types of transportation (i.e. bicycles, walking, wheeling, public transportation) in a more comfortable and convenient fashion around different villages and counties in New York. Instead of sticking to driving a car as the main form of transportation, Complete Streets aims to provide safe and convenient access to all public places and destinations through various forms of transportation. A Complete Streets Policy assists communities in improving our air quality and promoting healthier living for both the environment and its people.

The Otsego Regional Cycling Advocates (ORCA), a committee of Otsego Outdoors, is teaming up with the NY State Department of Health's "Creating Healthy Schools and Communities" to back up and support Complete Streets efforts in Otsego County, specifically with the Richfield Springs community. What better way to celebrate healthier living than to participate in a community bike ride! Come promote healthy living and be part of the fun on September 10th!
