Construction work has begun on rebuilding Pioneer Street in Cooperstown. The project that is taking place on Pioneer between Church and Lake will take about three months to complete according to authorities and the work includes upgrading the water and sewer lines below the road. Officials say funding for the $1.2 million project was obtained from the villages’s summertime on-street parking income collected over the last five years.
