Rich Murphy Will Not Seek Re-election on Otsego County Board

The District 4 seat for the Otsego County Board of Representatives will be up for grabs in the next election.

Democrat Rich Murphy, 63, has announced he will not seek re-election for the seat that he has been in for almost six years, citing it's time to do other things in his life.

Murphy is a retired speech pathologist for the Board of Cooperative Education services and he is still the volunteer head coach of the Oneonta Little League team Community Bank.
