A rare two-faced kitten was born Tuesday morning in Amity, Oregon.

Deucy, as named by her owner Stephanie Durkee, is known as a ‘Janus’ cat. The abnormality is named after the Roman God who had two faces.

Deucy has been abandoned by her mother so Durkee is now feeding her milk with a syringe and is keeping her in a drawer with a heating pad.

Durkee took Deucy to the vet when she was born. The vet said that all of her organs are in working order and that Deucy should live.

Janus cats are extremely rare and the last known one to have existed lived to the age of 12.
