Otsego County is holding the 20th annual Household Hazardous Waste Day on Friday, September 8th and Saturday, September 9th.  This is an opportunity to dispose of things not normally accepted at transfer stations throughout the year for free.  Among the items accepted are household chemicals, enamel paints, pesticides, antifreeze, batteries, pharmaceuticals and more.  To find out the complete list of things accepted, CLICK HERE.

Friday, September 8th - Household collection at the Unadilla Town Barn, Unadilla NY 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Saturday, September 9th - Household collection at the Meadows Office Complex, Cooperstown NY 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
- A through H: 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
- I through Q: 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
- R through Z: 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

There is no registration to participate.  You should simply follow the schedule based on the first letter of your last name.  SEE SCHEDULE ABOVE.

This public service event is made possible due to funding from the county’s Solid Waste User Fee, the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), and the Otsego County Conservation Association (OCCA).
