For the first time, the Otsego County Fair will host "Think Differently Day" today to make the fair more enjoyable for people with sensory sensitivities.  Fair Manager, Lisa Jones brought the idea back from an annual meeting in Rochester where she learned of another fair that had turned off their midway lights and sounds to help those with sensory sensitivities.  The Otsego County Fair board members approved the idea and so today from noon to 2:00 p.m., the midway will become much quieter than usual with sounds turned off, no lights, plus there will be no announcements over the loud speaker.

In addition, Pathfinder Village will have a special sensory tent with touch tables and a calm resting space for those feeling overwhelmed.
