OTEGO, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say a 42-year-old man has died in an all-terrain vehicle crash in a driveway at an upstate New York home.

The Otsego County Sheriff's Office and state police tell local media outlets that Timothy Lewis of Otego and a 49-year-old woman were riding the ATV early Sunday morning when it overturned in a dirt driveway in his rural hometown, 75 miles southwest of Albany.

Police say Lewis and the woman were both ejected from the ATV and hit an unoccupied parked vehicle.

Lewis was taken to Fox Hospital in Oneonta, where he was later pronounced dead. Deputies say the woman was taken to Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, where she was treated for a broken arm, broken ribs and a brain hemorrhage.

The investigation into the crash is continuing.
