Opioid Deaths Down For The First Time In 10 Years
For the first time in 10 years opioid deaths are down in New York State outside of New York City. Opioid deaths declined from 2017 to 2018 by more that 15 percent according to a quarterly report released by the State Department of Health. The report also found hospitalizations for opioid related overdoses declined by over seven percent during the same period. The full report is available at health.ny.gov.
