City of Oneonta Police report they are seeing the usual increase in summertime crimes of opportunity with several open cases of larcenies from motor vehicles and reports of people entering cars that are not theirs. The department asks people to keep valuables secure, lock your vehicle and residence doors, and secure ground floor windows. They also remind the community that phone and internet scams are still active all over the country with people losing money to these criminal enterprises.
