Oneonta Common Council Approves Tax Abatement Plan for Hillside Commons

The Oneonta Common Council approve the tax abatement plan, 7-1, for Newman Development Group, which is proposing to build a 300-bed student housing complex on Blodgett Drive.

The lone common council member that voted no is Mike Lynch.

The tax abatement plan is now on its way to the Otsego County IDA, which has the jurisdiction on negotiations for payment-in-lieu-of taxes agreements.
