The City of Oneonta has created a coronavirus task force ahead of college students’ return to campus next month. It consists of college students, staff and city officials according to Oneonta Mayor Gary Herzig,

Given that many Oneonta residents are concerned that college students may not follow social distancing and mask wearing protocols, spreading the virus, Herzig says the panel will meet at least once a week to discuss needed changes and actions to prevent COVID-19 reoccurrences. Around 7,000 students combined will return to SUNY Oneonta and Hartwick College next month.
