The National Baseball Hall of Fame announced Monday that umpire Hank O’Day, Yankees owner Jacob Ruppert and 19th century catcher/third baseman Deacon White have been elected to the Hall of Fame by the Pre-integration Era Committee.

O’Day, Ruppert and White were each named on the necessary 75 percent of all ballots cast by the 16-member Pre-integration Era Committee on a ballot of six former players, three executives and one umpire whose contributions to the game were most significant from baseball origins through 1946. The committee held meetings on Sunday in Nashville, Tennessee, the site of baseball’s winter meetings.

The trio will be inducted in Cooperstown as part of class of 2013 on July 28. They will be joined in by any electees who emerge from the Baseball Writers’ Association of America voting, which will be announced on Jan. 9.
