The Otsego County Department of Health (OCDH) released their COVID-19 report yesterday, stating that there are 19 new cases in the county from Friday to Saturday. There are currently 36 active cases in the county with one hospitalization. Of the 975 total confirmed cases (since last March), 751 cases are linked to SUNY Oneonta (according to the OCDH) and 30 are associated with Hartwick College.

In Delaware County, Delaware County Public Health reported Saturday (10/24) that there are 16 known active cases in the county with 4 hospitalizations related to the virus. One hundred and eighteen (118) county residents are under mandatory quarantine. Since March there have been a total of 155 confirmed cases.

In Chenango County, the Department of Health reported Friday (10/23) on the number of coronavirus cases. There were 47 active cases with 2 current hospitalizations related to the virus and 230 people are under mandatory quarantine. Chenango County Health officials ask those who visited the Greene Community Fitness Center any time between Oct. 11 and Oct. 14 to monitor for coronavirus symptoms since an individual who went there daily during that time was confirmed with COVID-19. .

The Governor and all of our county health departments are advising diligence with handwashing, wearing masks in public, and for everyone to continue with social distancing to slow the spread of COVID-19.
