New York's moratorium on COVID-19 related residential rental evictions has now been extended through the end of the year. The moratorium was established in March and in June the Tenant Safe Harbor Act was passed that contained the moratorium plus financial assistance to residential renters and landlords. Earlier this month Governor Cuomo extended a moratorium on COVID-19-related commercial evictions and foreclosures until October 20th.
