Human rights advocate Martin Luther King III and actress Lucy Liu along with composer and playwright Lin-Manuel Miranda are heading a newly-created council to make sure every New York resident is counted in the upcoming 2020 Census. According to Governor Andrew Cuomo’s office the Council will act as the state’s coordinating arm using the information learned from the state’s Complete Count Commission and support from state, local and foundation funding resources. The Census takes place April 1.
