A top Manhattan law firm will conduct the New York State Assembly’s investigation into allegations from 7 women that Gov. Andrew Cuomo sexually harassed them and behaved inappropriately. Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP was retained by the Assembly Judiciary Committee which decided last week to conduct the investigation. The attorney representing one of the accusers said the Assembly’s hiring of that firm poses a conflict of interest because a former partner is tied to Cuomo.
