NY State’s Sex Offender Registry Expanded

The state’s sex offender registry has been expanded to allow multiple photographs of convicted sex offenders.

According to a press release from Governor Cuomo, including multiple photographs helps ensure that the most accurate and up to date information on offenders is available throughout the state. Previously only one photo of an offender could be included.

The registry is maintained by the NY State Division of Criminal Justice Services.
