Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that elective surgeries can now be performed in Chenango, Delaware and Schoharie Counties but they are still not allowed in Otsego County. The counties authorities to resume surgeries need to keep at least 30% of their bed capacity open in their respective regions and see declining numbers of coronavirus cases for at least 14 days. Should the case numbers increase the restrictions could be reinstated.
