
Minimum Wage is Going Up January 1

Workers making minimum wage will be getting a 70 cent per hour raise in the new year. Beginning Jan. 1 the minimum outside of New York City, Long Island and Westchester Counties will go to $11.10 per hour. The minimum wage increased to $9.70 at the end of 2016 and will go up to $12.50 on 12/31/2020. After then the minimum wage will continue to increase to $15 on an indexed schedule.
