Michael Long Named Oneonta’s First City Manager

It was announced last week by Oneonta mayor Richard Miller that Michael Long has been appointed by the common council to be Oneonta’s first city manager.

“Mike Long is a consummate professional,” Miller said. “His areas of particular expertise match well with the specific needs of the Oneonta community today and as we look into the future.”

He added: “We have found an exceedingly well qualified person to be Oneonta’s first city manager. He will not only conduct the affairs of his office based on his experience as a professional, but will apply skills in community and economic development and facility planning, which are particularly important as we move forward.”
