Mayor Herzig Reacts to New Oneonta COVID-19 Cases
On the cusp of the start of college here in Oneonta with students now coming into town, the Otsego County Department of Health reported yesterday that there are 3 new cases of COVID-19 in the City of Oneonta.
On Mayor Gary Herzig's facebook page, he makes the following statement:
Currently in Otsego County there are 9 active coronavirus cases, 2 of which are hospitalized. The health department advises residents, " it continues to be very important to practice social distancing and wear a mask when social distancing is not possible. Wash hands frequently especially after using the rest room and before
eating. If you have symptoms of COVID, have traveled to a state with a high infection rate, or have been in contact with someone with COVID get tested."
