Local State Park to Stay Open Extra Week For Swimming

There will be an extra weekend to take in swimming activities at Glimmerglass State Park in Cooperstown. State officials announced the park’s facilities will be opened Saturday and Sunday from from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The swimming season usually ends after Labor Day but selected beaches and pools statewide will be providing the late-season swimming. Those wanting to camp have until Columbus Day to access the state’s facilities.
