Soil and water conservation districts in Delaware and Schoharie Counties receive state grants to help farmers keep nutrients and other potential pollutants from entering waterways. In Delaware County nearly $3 million was awarded for 3 farms in the Upper Susquehanna Watershed and 1 in the Delaware River Watershed. Schoharie County received close to $109,000 for a farm in the Schoharie Creek Watershed. The total awards statewide was close to $15 million.
