Gus Lampo, a local bowling legend for over 40 years, will be adding two more halls of fame to his honors and legacy list this year.

Lampo will join the Union-Endicott Athletic Hall of Fame as well as the Greater Binghamton Sports Hall of Fame this spring.

He has been previously inducted into the NYS USBC Hall of Fame, the Southern Tier USBC Hall of Fame, the Cortland Bowling Hall of Fame and the Oneonta Bowling Hall of Fame.

Lampo is a well-known and popular bowler from Central New York.  He is a native of Endicott, N.Y. and he owned and operated Oneonta's sole bowling center, Holiday Lanes on Southside, from 1981-1994.

In 1972 Lampo won the prestigious Las Vegas Showboat Invitational Tournament by defeating the 1971 national bowler of the year, Don Johnson.  Lampo pocketed $11,111 for his victory.
