Livestock Foundation today announced two competitive funding opportunities to support community preservation and development, and agricultural education. Applications are now open for the 2019 Mini-Grant Program and a NEW Agricultural Scholarship. Submissions for each are due by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, April 15th, 2019.

The 2019 Community Mini-Grant is available for community projects that enable the economic viability and historic preservation of Bovina. Projects that support the Livestock Foundation's mission to preserve the rural traditions and communities of Delaware County through programming that supports and encourages agricultural engagement and education while improving Bovina's community and assets, are eligible. Applicants may request a minimum of $100 and a maximum of $600. Preference will be given to beautification projects designed to enhance our Main Street, as well as to collaborative projects.

An Agricultural Scholarship is now available from the Foundation. $1,000 will be awarded to a 2019 Delaware County high school graduate pursuing a career in agriculture. Students are required to submit an essay about their career choice and a college acceptance letter.
