Former New York Yankee Derek Jeter came within one vote of being unanimously inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame on Tuesday. According to Hall of Fame officials, Jeter is second only to former New York Yankees teammate Mariano Rivera’s 100 percent vote in 2019, and just ahead of Ken Griffey Jr., who received 99.3 percent of the vote in 2016. Also being inducted is former right fielder and third baseman Larry Walker who was in his final year of eligibility. Induction weekend is July 24-27 in Cooperstown.
