Jemele Mitrano, Mayor Sam Nader’s Sister, Dies of COVID-19

Jemele "Jem" Nader Mitranoa has died.  She was the sister of former Oneonta Mayor Sam Nader, and was 92 years of age.  She died in Connecticut.  

"Jem" was born  in Oneonta's Sixth Ward on September 22, 1927.  She was the daughter of Elias and Rose Nader, and was the sister of Albert "Sam" Nader who went on to become the mayor of Oneonta.  He survives her.  Jem married Dominck Mitrano at St. Mary's Church in Oneonta in 1965.

Jem passed away from the effects of the COVID-19 virus on Easter Sunday.
