Breakthrough In Capital Region Case As Police Retrieve Arizona Suspect In 2024 Death
Local police track down a man wanted for the death of a Capital Region woman thousands of miles away. Now he will be held accountable.
An Arizona man is now back in Stillwater to face charges connected to the death of a local woman last year. Police say thirty-six-year-old Kyle Bliss, who had been working as the full-time home health aide for sixty-seven-year-old Jean Bull, is accused of providing care that was reckless and neglectful. Investigators believe that his actions led to her death in November 2024.
For months, Stillwater detectives continued to track Bliss as the case developed. Their work eventually led them across the country to Bisbee, Arizona, where they located him at a detention center.
Members of the Stillwater Police Department traveled there, took him into custody, and brought him back to Saratoga County to face the charges. Police say that coordination between agencies in both states played a crucial role in ensuring he was returned to answer for what happened.
According to News 10 ABC, Bliss is now facing a series of serious charges. These include second-degree manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, first-degree endangering the welfare of a vulnerable elderly person or an incompetent or physically disabled person, and six more charges.
He has been turned over to the Saratoga County Correctional Facility, where he will remain while the case moves forward in Saratoga County Court.
