3 Hyde Park First Responders Recognized For Life-Saving Actions
The Hyde Park Police Department and Roosevelt Fire District took to social media to put the spotlight on a few of their first responders.
According to a Facebook post, shared on the Town of Hyde Park Police Departments page, they were "proud to recognize several members" of their department "for their actions during a life-saving response.
First Responders Act Quickly During Cardiac Event
The social media post explains on January 14th, 2026, Sgt. McGaw, Officer Massey, and Sgt Stallone responded to a cardiac arrest call in the Town of Hyde Park.
Thanks to their "coordinated efforts" alongside the Roosevelt Rescue Squad, Roosevelt Fire District, and Empress EMS, "the patient received rapid, professional care."
The Town of Hyde Park Police Department writes:
Due to the seamless teamwork and quick actions of all units on scene, the patient was ultimately able to walk out of the hospital and continue living their life.
Thanks to their efforts they were presented with a Unit Citation. A Unit Citation, according to NYS, is "an award presented to a specific unit, team, or precinct for exceptional collective teamwork, bravery, or outstanding performance in the line of duty."
Hyde Park Police Sergeant Receives Life-Saving Award
Along with a Unit Citation, Sergeant Michael Stallone was also awarded a Life-Saving Award.

The statement explains:
Sgt. Stallone assisted EMS in securing the patient’s airway and helped manage it until the patient was loaded into the ambulance, at which time the patient regained a pulse.
The Town of Hyde Park Police Department wen on to thank Sgt. McGaw, Sgt. Stallone, and Officer Massey for their dedication to the community and "always going above and beyond no matter the situation."
