We have plenty of things to do here in Western New York. But if you're looking for something to do that isn't a super touristy thing to do, we have a lot of options for that too.

How many times have you had company in from out of town, and you end up taking them to Niagara Falls, or the Anchor Bar, or to Darien Lake? If they're Bills fans, a trip to Highmark Stadium is never that far away. For Sabres fans, they can check out KeyBank Center. Those things are fine to do, and people really should see and do them when they're in the area. But if you want to show your guests something a little more off-the-beaten-path, there are a ton of really great options.

When I was a kid, we used to have guests who would visit for a couple of weeks at a time from Kansas. We loved it because not only did we have some cool new friends to hang out with over the summer, but we would always get to do some really cool stuff. See, when we were bored as kids, we had to find ways to entertain ourselves. But when there were guests, our parents would entertain them, and us in the meantime. So we had to have a bunch of different ideas that took some time.
