Katherine Heigl is Being Spotted Around Western New York

Katherine Heigl is in Buffalo this week and was spotted on the Maid of the Mist recently. Heigl actually comes to Western New York more than most people think. A lot of her family is buried here in Western New York so she comes to visit.

Katherine Heigl has family that are buried here in Buffalo, New York

Actress Katherine Heigl's brother is buried here in Buffalo as well as her grandparents. Her brother passed away at a young age in a car accident. A few years ago she took some photos at the cemetery that some of her followers found insensitive and disrespectful and she even went to see apologize on social media.

Remember when Heigl apologized to everyone for her photos in Forest Lawn Cemetery?

“It’s kind of a heavy thing to go and visit my loved ones’ graves, and I decided to find some moments of levity and humor and didn’t realize how inappropriate I was being,” she continued. I deeply apologize and I thank you guys for understanding that sometimes I don’t think things through clearly enough and I am grateful for your input and for giving me a heads up when I’m maybe going too far. And thank you for forgiving me. Next time I will be more thoughtful about other people’s feelings and not just my own.”
