Vote for Oneonta Against Canton in Round 2 of SUNY Mascot Madness

March Madness has taken on a new meaning on the SUNY Oneonta campus. The Oneonta Red Dragon, Torch, who also goes by Red, is among 16 SUNY mascots still standing after Round 1 of SUNY’s first Mascot Madness tournament to determine which campus mascot is the most popular.

The competition is run similarly to the NCAA men's basketball tournament, and mascots are paired up each week until only one stands for the shining moment.

SUNY Oneonta thumped Rockland Community College by over 1,500 votes. That brought SUNY Canton to the arena, and the Kangaroos have been no picnic. Canton is currently winning, but there's still a few days to vote and pull off the comeback!

Voting ends at 11 p.m. Sunday, at which point one mascot goes to the third round. The Red Dragons need your help to advance! Find out why Torch is better than a silly kangaroo.
