The designer of the ubiquitous I-Heart New York logo died at the age of 91. Milton Glaser was also the co-founder of New York Magazine and it was at the magazine where the report of his death from natural causes was made on Friday. Glaser created the logo in 1977 as a way to make a positive statement in the wake of high crime and a stagnant economy in New York City.

Glaser was a familiar figure in the Cooperstown area.  He designed the official music posters for the Cooperstown Music Festival for more than two decades.
