Hospice to Hold School for Caregivers in Chenango County

Hospice of Chenango County is holding a caregiver school Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Hospice office at 21 Hayes Street in Norwich, N.Y. Jessica Bondorf, Bereavement Coordinator at Hospice of Chenango County explained the free session.

“It’s an open practical support group for any caregiver in Chenango County, no prior affiliation with Hospice is needed,” said Bondorf. “It is a free service that we are offering it is going to be a year-long event, but this month we are focusing our session on covering what we are going to be focusing on the rest of the year and safety.”

Caregiver school will show how to make simple modifications to make the environment safe for the patient. There will also be a chance to ask questions and get to know fellow local caregivers.
