Hobart Man Faces Felony Charge Following Motorcycle Crash in Kortright
Delaware County Sheriff’s Officials say a Hobart man is accused of driving with a blood alcohol level at more than twice the legal limit and speeding on a motorcycle he wasn’t licensed to operate.
Deputies say 39-year-old Frank Darmody Jr. was charged with felony counts of aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .19%, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, DWI and operating a vehicle without a required ignition interlock device.
The charges come after Deputies responded AT 7:16 p.m. May 9 to a motorcycle crash on McMurdy Brook Road in Kortright.
In addition to the felony counts, Darmondy was charged with driving without a license, operating a motorcycle with switched plates, driving an uninsured motorcycle, driving a motorcycle without insurance, speed not reasonable and failure to keep right.
He was sent to the Delaware County Jail on $500 bail.
