Oneonta has not lost anyone to the coronavirus yet but don't get too confident because the Otsego County Department of Health reports that there are 2 new confirmed cases in Oneonta in a letter that was sent to Oneonta Mayor Gary Herzig on July 28. The total number of COVID-19 confirmed cases (since the beginning) is 20.

Herzig commented on his facebook page, "Please look out for each other by wearing a mask and respect distancing. No gatherings over 50."
