The Otsego County Conservation Association is awarded a grant to reduce the negative impacts of invasive species through control or removal activities, research, and spread prevention. Over $40,000 is awarded for the Otsego County aquatic invasive species rapid response and early detection program. The money comes from the State Department of Environmental Conservation’s Invasive Species Grant Program and is funded by the State’s Environmental Protection Fund. A total of $2.8 million is awarded statewide for 42 projects.
