Governor Andrew Cuomo announced places of worship are permitted to resume in-person services limited to 25 percent occupancy with all social distancing protocols in place during phase two of the state’s reopening. The new directive took effect on Sunday for the five areas of the state that are in phase two. Cuomo says people still need to follow all the necessary precautions and guidelines because if the metrics start to change, the reopening will have to be slowed down.
