Davenport Sex Offender Accused in Another Case

Delaware County Police are reporting the arrest of a Davenport, NY man who is accused of sexual abuse of a minor in the Town of Davenport.

According to the Delaware County Sheriff's Office, 45-year-old Richard J. Bennett, a level II sex offender, was arrested on May 29 on accusations of subjecting a female child under the age of seventeen to sexual contact during early May of this year.

After his arrest, Bennett was served an order of protection and was released on an appearance ticket for a later court date in the Town of Davenport Court.
