An early morning fire has torn through a popular entertainment venue in Oneonta.  Holiday Lanes bowling alley on Southside Oneonta was devastated by fire this morning.  According to Otsego County Fire Wire, flames were reported coming through the roof by a passerby around 1:45 AM.  Over a dozen area fire departments assisted with mutual aid including West Oneonta Fire, Franklin Fire, Sidney Fire, Laurens Fire/EMS, West Laurens Fire, Schenevus Fire, Pindars Corners Fire, Otego Fire, Mount Vision Fire, Stamford Fire, Wells Bridge Fire, Unadilla Fire, Davenport Fire, East Meredith Fire, AMR, East Worcester Fire, Grand Gorge Fire, Roxbury Fire, Hobart Fire, Delhi Fire, Sidney Center Fire, Milford Fire, Morris Fire, Worcester Fire, and others.

Traffic was re-rerouted during the fight against the fire but travel on Rt. 23 Southside is unimpeded as of 8:00 am..
