Free Stuff At Oneonta ‘Move Out Donation And Reuse Event’ Today

The old saying "One person's trash is another person's treasure" is certainly the case when it comes to all the items that SUNY Oneonta students toss out each year for convenient's sake or other reasons.  The waste was curbed considerably when SUNY Oneonta's Office of Sustainability started the "Move Out Donation Program" in 2014.  Items that college students no longer want get donated to the "Move Out Donation and Reuse Event" where community members can come and pick out items for free.  This event is being held TODAY (May 14) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Otsego ReUse Center on Dwayne Street in Oneonta.  Items you may find include:

•  Futons, chairs, rugs, and other non-upholstered furniture
• Textbooks, general books, office supplies
• Kitchen appliances such as mini-fridges, microwaves, toasters
• Clothing and shoes, athletic equipment, toys
• Laundry detergent, shampoo, household cleaners and other toiletries
• Apartment supplies such as storage crates and trash cans
