DuMond Says Watch Out For “Coronavirus Scams”

In the wake of the coronavirus outbreak Delaware County Sheriff Craig DuMond is urging residents to remain ever vigilant for scammers preying on those most valuable including the elderly and those facing financial hardship. One scam making the rounds involved a caller claiming to be with the IRS and needs bank account information in order to get a check issued under the federal stimulus program. DuMond says the IRS will never call asking for that information.
