Dr. Kristi Andersen, a prominent scholar in the field of citizenship and democracy, will be the keynote speaker at SUNY Oneonta’s fifth annual undergraduate political science conference on Friday.

Dr. Andersen is a professor of political science at the Maxwell School of Syracuse University and will present “Incorporating Immigrants into American Cultural and Political Life.”

The conference begins at 9 a.m., and Anderson will speak at 2 p.m. in the Waterfront Room of the Hunt College Union.

Members of the community are invited to attend her talk and the daylong conference, which will feature more than 20 presentations by students from colleges throughout New York State on topics ranging from the Oslo Accords to workers’ rights.
