Downsville Celebrates 120 Years Of Volunteer Firefighting
Downsville Volunteer Fire Department is celebrating 120 years of volunteer fire service this Saturday, July 23rd with a day-long event full of activities for the family, a parade and fireworks at Downsville Fireman’s Field. There will be food vendors, cornhole and other tournaments, a batting cage, bounce houses, mini-golf and a dunking booth. The fun begins at 10 a.m. Some of the proceeds from food sales will benefit the volunteer fire department. The parade is at 4 p.m., which will include 20 fire departments, followed by live music and fireworks after dark.
