Oneonta Wins 10M For Downtown Revitalization

Good news from the Governor’s office for Oneonta, NY. Governor Andrew Cuomo announced yesterday that the City of Oneonta is the Mohawk Valley Region’s winner of the Downtown Revitalization Initiative competition. That means Oneonta is one of 10 communities across New York that each will receive $10 million dollars to catalyze growth and redevelopment, and to ensure a vibrant downtown and a thriving economy. The city will establish a local planning committee to build Strategic Investment Plans for downtown. The winning application called “Authentically Oneonta” was a group effort.
